For the longest time I have desired to see our politics transform from being vindictive to a true and authentic statesman.
The way I look at it the reason why my dear country does not succeed is because of vengeance. They always waiting for their time to come and when they are in power they will do almost everything just to let other people pay. Meaning when they are in Power they will say that its pay back time.
This kind of politics needs to be eradicated; we need to establish a new breed of leaders who are willing to sacrifice their own agenda for the sake of our country. But, sad to sat there are only few.
If you belong to this few you are the most pitiful fellow because they will to tear you down. But I still hope that one day there would be somebody to emerge.
To name some potential aspirants: Hon. Sen. KIKO PANGILINAN, MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando. I believe that there are still number of leaders that belong to this category.
Time and time again we have been reminded by different kind of people and groups regarding this, that a tree is known by its fruit. It is true and it is indeed an excellent saying.
If this is saying is universal and this can also be applied in other aspect or areas such as leadership, governance and so on.
This article is basically talks mainly on politics, it is also interesting to know that a leader is known or judge by way of his leadership. If the leader is good it will also manifest in his leadership.
But, in our political system mostly this does not apply, because, the people around our leaders which are supposed to the fruit(s) of our leaders are the very people that destroys them.
Let me site one instance for example, a mayor in one city is very eager to eradicate corruption in his term. But, what he doesn't know people under him are the one who are corrupt. There is one instance which was relayed to me by a very reliable source, a recently open Mall own by the city government. The mall that is supposed to be supported by the city government, all their requirements, office equipments and supplies yet the equipment that they are using at the moment are given by the people who are applying for store slot. What does this thing mean, they are already entertaining corruption, since they are now receiving this so called donation in effect they are already creating a breeding ground for corruption.
If this will not be addressed right away sooner or later this will become a full blown or grown corruption.
I am taking about the MALL IN ANTIPOLO CITY Mayor Sumulong is determine to eradicate corruption but let me say this, please examine and look at the people whom you are appointing not so much on the second but on the 3rd, 4rth level below these are the people that will destroy you. If you want to succeed in your campaign to eradicate corruption look at this
Opinyon Ko means (my opinion). It is a local dialect we use to express our own ideas and thoughts about something. Politics,religion and many other things and areas of life.
What I am going to write down here are basically my own opinions how I look at them.
POLITICS for example, I am Disappointed because our leaders seem to be mindless of the things that they are doing, instead of focusing their time and effort for the betterment of our country they focus on their own agenda, how to promote their own agenda.
The people down below are always the victims of their selfish motives and agendas, they do not mind the poor, what they do are good for them because they have plenty of food to eat, money to spend, and if worse come to worse they have the means that they can use to leave the poor and suffering people. They do not bother at all if what will happen to their Countrymen, most of the time since these people are poor they are exploiting them they are using them to advance their own agenda. They hide behind the guise of PRO POOR PROGRAMS but in reality they are the one who exploit they are the vulture, and as we call it here they are the BUWAYA and exploiters. Partly the poor also can be blame because they also allowed themselves to be exploited.
I am not an expert in politics nor in any other field I just want to express my own sentiments and dissapointments in our political system.
Another observaion is that, Our Leaders do not mind of continuing the success of the previous leaders, again because of their own personal agenda, they want the credit to be theirs, there is a saying that I believe is important to realize it says " WE NEED TO GIVE HONOR WHERE HONOR IS DUE" I think this is what they need to do. If there is a success we need to give the credit to the credit is due.
